Variety origin:
Known as “Tsingtao Flower,” is a traditional Chinese hop variety with a classic, noble-style aroma profile.

It is the first domestically developed hop variety in China, bred in the 1950s by the Qingdao Hop Experimental Station.

Characteristics: Classified as a dual‑purpose hop with strong bittering reliability and moderate aroma contribution.
Plant Morphology: A vigorous perennial climbing bine with strong vertical growth, dense foliage, and a traditional dioecious structure typical of commercial hop cultivars.
Cone: Medium to large, cylindrical, and loosely structured, with well-developed lupulin glands.
Harvest Time: August to early September
Aroma:

  • Herbal, grassy, green

  • Spicy, woody, lightly peppery

  • Earthy, slightly resinous

  • Subtle citrus zest and light fruit
